Brightwell, Leonard Robert - Small Archive of Correspondence between the Belle Vue Zoological Gardens and Signed Letters by Brightwell

 1552507818,
England, 1932. Leonard Robert Brightwell. The archive consists of two typed letters by the director of the Gardens and two handwritten letters with illustration by Brightwell. The letters are concerning his visit to the Belle Vue with the object of writing an article for the "Evening Standard"on the Animals of the Zoological section of the Gardens. Brightwell drew an amusing portrait of himself as he wrote: "Diagram enclosed for identification purposes" Brightwell was a well-known illustrator of animals and a cartoonist. He signed his art LR Brightwell. The director of the Garden may have misread his signature and typed 'S.R' in error. Ill.: Leonard Robert Brightwell.
