"Did She Poison Her Lover?" is an article about the trial of Madeleine Smith with engravings of the woman and of the "Trial.in the Scotch Court of Sessions" (pp. 508-509). This issue also features, by Bulwer-Lytton, "What Will He Do With It?" (book II, chps 1-2, a )serialized novel as well as thse finely illustrated articles: "Travel Notes in Bible Lands, No. IX" (cover story), "Our Excursions to the Fishing Banks" (pp. 500-501) with five humorous illustrations.
