Thirty of the 278 taxa mentioned are type specimens; the types include 12 described by Blyth, 5 by Blanford, 5 by Sclater, 3 by Stoliczka and Anderson and 2 by Theobald. This monograph is from the research library of herpetologist Kevin W. Marx with his signature on the front endpaper. Some browning of the endpapers and a few tiny pin holes in text otherwise a very good copy..
