A perfectly serviceable reference copy, complete in two volumes; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy. Each volume measures 4 1/4" x 7" in size. Gilt-stamped dentelles to outer covers, scuffing to covers, tips, edges, and with gilt-tooling to spines, title and volume number over burgundy label-boxes. Bumping to and scuffing of spine heads and feet. Inside Volume I is residue probably from a previous owner's bookplate, [4], 3-231 [1] pp. plus publisher's advertisements at frontis. Volume II shows the same residue, at 238 pp., and with some slight loss to title page at bottom. Interiors to both volumes are quite clean and lovely.
