Further volumes were issued but the next volume did not come out for 5 years and had a different translators and with slightly different titles. Endpapers and first few leavess sl.foxed else neat tight copies with useful footnotes throughout. *Born in Copenhagen Niebuhr was a key figure in German Romanticism, and Germany`s leading Ancient Historian, his history of Rome is considered a seminal work.
