There is a previous owner's inked name on the front endpaper The price clipped dust jacket iis generally clean and bright, but has biopredation (bug nibbles) that has made a chain of holes from the bottom spine end up the spine about two inches. There is also some wrinkling to the front spine joint where the biopredation is. "Martha Alexander was born in Augusta, Georgia on May 25, 1920. Moving to Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of nine, Alexander later attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati where she mastered the pencil and watercolor illustrations that she would became famous for later in life. Alexander struggled to find her place in the art world until she was given the opportunity to illustrate a children's book in 1966. Following this Alexander began to excusively write and illustrate children's books, publishing the first of her more than fifty books in 1968. Alexander became famous for her Blackboard Bear series, among others, continuing to write and illustrate until her death in 2006" (from UCONN library). Very Good+ in Good dust jacket .
