Boston, By the author, 1796. Manuscript receipt; 3 1/2 x 7 1/4; laid paper and brown ink; edges unevenly trimmed, else minor wear; in very good condition. A payment receipt for services at the Port of Boston, including berthing the Ship Newport, between one Colesworthy Roberts and Hon. John Coffin Jones (1749 - 1829), prominent businessman, Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, and father of John Coffin Jones Jr. - the latter the first United States Consular Agent to the Kingdom of Hawaii. Very good .
