SMART, ELIZABETH - By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and WeptOttawa, Deneau Publishers. (ISBN: 0-88879-048-1). 1981. (hardcover) Fine in very good dust jacket. 128pp. 8vo. First published in 1945, this is, some would say a 'cult classic'. It is a poetic prose novel, long identified as one of the best examples from that genre in literature, which tells the narrative of Smart's affair with George Barker, the British poet. The jacket front shows a crease and some wear along the top edge and is now in a loose. Mylar sleeve to prevent any further wear. The book itself is in fine condition.
