C.H. Webb, 1869. Third Edition. Hardcover. Russet cloth covered boards with gilt frog and titles on front, gilt spinal titles and embossed frog on rear board. The whole shows some modest soiling and edge wear. Bevelled boards with threads showing at extremities. Bookplate adhered to brown ffep and contemporary (to publication) ownership name on second blank page. The whole is tighty bound, and clean throughout save mentioned points. Overall a very nice copy of a rare early printing of Twain's first published book.. Very Good+ with no dust jacket.
