Naval Intelligence Division, Admiralty, 1942. Hardcover. 305p This book has been compled jointly by the Admiralty and Coastal Command for the use of H.M.Ships and Aircraft of both services. A meticulous study of continental fishing fleets in wartime with description of methods of fishing, fishing areas including Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, the Faroes to include Mackeral, sealing, whaling with detailed descriptions and photos of types of boats in each country with photos and diagrams ; many maps of fishing grounds. Well up to the high standards of the Navail Intelligence groups works for wartime use. The book has been used; oval stamp of Millport Marine Biological Station at top of front board. but there are no other ownership or library marks. The thick card boards have been covered with a clear adhesive sleeve with a green taped spine with handwritten titling and a shelf number. Seems rare - no other copies apparently available on line at the time of listing. See scans and email for more. . Good
