An insight into the ways of life of the members of a Whist and Supper club in Glasgow which, at the beginning of the 19th century, many of whom were related to each other. After the minutes there are often detailed biographies of the members. Common names are Blackburn, Anderson,Bogle, Campbell Buchanan, Douglas, Dunlop etc. Book tight and clean with an interesting bookplate of Sir James French on front pastedown. Fep evenly browned. Boards clean but corners bumped and some wear along spine edge and to title label on spine. See scans. . Good +
