Letter regarding a complaint from his daugter Charlotte regarding an insult from a worker decorating a room. ** "Edward Venn was a tea broker (in April 1807 Harris appraised the desks in the Counting House in Bow Lane). He obviously lived in some style. His carpets were made to order to fit the rooms: 'To an Orange Ground (Leopard Spot) Kidderminster Carpet (Plann'd to Room)..' The composition of the curtains, bed furnishings, blinds, etc, is described in detail. For example: 'To Makg. 3 Sett Rod Window Curtains with French twisted Draperies lined wth. yellow Callico turnd over & Fringed'.
