Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Leather spine with blue paper over boards, preliminary pages have ads, an introduction to the present edition, certificates, a portrait of John Hancock, unpaginated. There are four pages of woodblock illustrations next to rhymes. Boards are heavily chipped with large amounts of cloth missing, leather spine is cracked and also missing pieces, pages lightly toned.
