Octavos, half bound in burgundy leather, marbled boards, raised bands along the spines, gilt lettering and design on the spines, top edges gilt, marbled endpapers, illustrations, photographs, and fold-out maps. Light shelf wear and aging, aptly the Insectivorous Plants volume has two small holes at the fore edge of the text block - insect damage, one of the volumes has the previous owner's name and address on a front endpage, else all volumes are very good.
