FALK, BERNARD - Thomas Rowlandson: His Life and ArtNew York, The Beechhurst Press. 1952, First American Edition. Cloth, 4to. 236 pages; 91 illustrations, including 21 color, which have tissue guards. "A significant and accurate portrayal of the life of a most delightful and versatile draughtsman (and) a magnificent gallery of drawings and paintings." At the back is a "Supplement", a bibliography of Rowlandson's Coloured Plate Books. The book is clean and tight, the pages showing only a slight darkening at the top edge. Otherwise the texture and color of the paper and the type face are a pleasure. The jacket is worn along all edges; there is a two-inch tear on the front panel along the spine. Very Good/Good.
