Illustrated with nearly fifty plates. Binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. Swashbuckling historical romance, in the style of Rafael Sabatini, who is far better known today. This book takes place during the French Revolution. A beautiful copy of a very early printing; the first edition was published in 1895. 8vo - 8" to 9" tall. T4. Fine with no dust jacket.
