Covertitle in bold black type with portraits of dramatis personae (German sheepdogs). 22pp. Text-ills., being 'portraits' of the cast, e.g.: six german sheep-dogs, one illustration of Amsterdam municipal theatre, name-list of cast, credits, 2 quotes from 2 novels by the dutch author Harry Mulisch printed on verso of front wrapper and at tail of ti.-p., further acknowledgements. ADDED the original Poster to the play, 280x200 mm., illustrated and printed in various colours and typography, centre-folded (verso blank). A dutch language play in 4 acts, performed by 6 [trained police] german sheep-dogs, after an idea by the dutch playwright and author Wim T. Schippers, sponsored by the dutch Ministry of Cultural affairs, WVC and nationwide relayed by a dutch TV network 'VPRO'. The worldpremiere was held Friday September 19th, 1986 and also performed Saturday, 20th September 1986 at Amsterdam municipal theatre, with an enormous success, sothat a third, not planned, performance followed suit. A hilarious play for six dogs on the stage only that triggered vehement public discussion pro and con in the Netherlands. The play was sponsored with taxpayer's money by the dutch ministry of cultural affairs. Very fine copy WITH THE ORIGINAL P;OSTER loosely inserted. Rare.
