[Leyden, Adriaen Wijngaerden, 1647], titlepage is missing, 12mo., blue paper cover, sprinkled edges, [32]+140 pp., worn paper cover with bare spine exposing the parchment strips used to sew the signatures, back cover nearly loose, the first few pages are stained with a pinkish hue, with some decorative initials and head- and tailpieces. Lit: Knuttel 5570 ("hoogst zeldzaam", scarce). This copy is made up of 9 signatures. The first is a blank signature containg the endpapers, the following two signatures are numbered ¶ and **, followed by six signatures numbered A-F. According to literature other copies contain another signature (G), but the content seems to be complete ending with the closing words "Amen Amen". This year was not found in STCN. l Johannes Goethals (1611-1673) was a religious official in the Dutch city of Delft. He dedicated this book to the Staten Generaal, Frederik Hendrik's widow, Willem II and the city council of Delft.
