The text is illustrated with thirty-two black and white photographs. Rose coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured titles to the back strip. The author, comes out of hospital after a serious operation, and decides to take a motoring holiday in the vast open spaces. In three months, he travels 16,822 miles around Australia, in a quest of adventure and information. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Light tanning and a few foxing spots to the text block edges with age toning of the pages.
