Cleveland, International Fiction Library, 1917. Hardcover. Edited by Horace Kephart. Small 8vo. Burgundy cloth with black lettering, rules and decoration. 361pp. Very good. Tight and decent reprint edition -- apparently first published in Edinburgh in 1857 as "Three Years in California" and considered a classic Gold Rush depiction. Borthwick (1824-92) was a Scottish journalist and author who penned a number of titles about California and gold mining. .
