While working in California the author became very ill, a specialist told him he had cancer & that he only had a few days to live. Hession asked a surgeon if he would operate; he did, and 2 years later Hession wrote this book. He had been "Determined to Live." 223 pages. 20 b./w. photographs on 13 pages.
