Contemporary calf, gilt label to spine, Cambridge panelled boards, edges sprinkled red. Endcaps and corners a little worn, ffep removed but a second leaf remaining, lightly rubbed but still very good. Second edition of the recension of Peter Foulkes and John Freind, scholars of Christ Church, first published in 1696 and particularly popular on account of its index of explanations of difficult terms.
