Special issue on the entries for the Paternoster Square and Bracken House architectural competitions, introduced by a Colin Davies article pointing out that it was barely 15 years since Holford's scheme was being celebrated by Pevsner - now it was only suitable for demolition. Bracken House was the first post-war building in England to be Listed, following proposals for its demolition.
