CHAMPIGNEULLE Bernard - Perret

Paris, Arts et Métiers Graphiques, 1959. 160pp inc illustrations, errata slip. Wraps, 27x24. Very good copy in dust wrapper. A well illustrated account of Perret's architecture including writings and lectures by Perret himself. Perret (1874-1954), comes across as the father of modern French architecture, particularly through his pioneering use of the reinforced concrete frame. He was also notable as a town planner, producing major town planning projects in Paris and Le Havre, where he was involved in post-war reconstruction. A fine monograph, notable for its high quality illustrations.
