Hundreds of b/w illustrations and 46 colour plates. Rear board soiled, rear hinge a little weak. Light dampstain on first few pages and p. 290 - 500. A very heavy volume. First impression of the first edition in the one volume folio format. Later printings were in two quarto volumes. Good.
