A small hole on title page with loss of one letter. Comprises: Parts 1-5 devoted to Australia; part 6 to Mauritius and parts 7-10 to South Africa. Backhouse was a Quaker missionary who lived in South Africa during the years 1838-41. Ferguson 2434-7 & 2703-4.
