Simson, 1500' Robert Simson was born on 18 October 1687. He was Professor of Mathematics at the University of Glasgow from 1711 until 1761 and made a significant contribution to mathematical scholarship; his interest in early Greek geometers proved particularly influential. Simson's definitive edition of Euclid's Elements, first published in 1756 in Latin. This work contained only the first six and the eleventh and twelfth books. It became the standard text in England and, along with the Conic Sections, was produced in many editions, some posthumously. It was also translated into several languages.. Return policy;
We run a 'no quibble' returns policy.
If we have made any error of collation or missed any significant flaw, or if we have failed to describe the condition honestly and accurately, we refund the cost of the book in full, plus the cost of outward shipping, plus the cost of your return shipping.
If you wish to return a book for any other reason, We refund the cost of the book, less a £5 handling charge. The cost of outward shipping is not refunded. The return shipping, and insurance, is at your expense.
In all cases, the returned book must be in our hands within one calendar month of the original sale, though exceptions can be made to this rule in special cases.
Any new damage suffered by the book will be charged pro-rata.
