There are two variants: 1) "author" on the title-page is spelt correctly and there is a comma after "Evelyn;" 2) "author" is spelt correctly and there is no comma after "Evelyn." This copy has the comma after Evelyn. Priority between the two states has not been established. In two parts. The second part contains 'Terra', 'Pomona', 'Acetaria' and 'Kalendarium Hortense;' all have separate dated title-pages, but continuous pagination and register, and are of the 3rd, 4th, 2nd and 10th editions respectively. Contemporary calf, quite worn. Rebacked unsympathetically. Illustrated. With the bookplate of R. H. Alexander Bennet. Henrey 135; Goldsmiths' 4287; ESTC T107635. Good.
