Embossed brown cloth, gold lettering and decoration to spine, gilt on top; spine worn top and bottom, small split to the spine side; small name stamp blanked out to ffep; internally good for age, some age spots to pages and to page edges, some grubby marks, slight tears to one or two page edges, generally tight and sound. 325pp 0. Good.

Good: o.k., but not very good, signs of ageing or fading or other damage (usually described).
Fair: showing definite signs of wear and tear.
Reading copy: It's all there and it's legible, but that's about all we guarantee.
DJ: dust jacket (if it's not mentioned there isn't one).
