Firenze, Le Monnier , 1853-1855. Due opere riunite in un volume (12x18 cm). Di XII-424 pagine e (4)-132 pagine. Edizione originale della prima opera, seconda edizione dell'Aggiunta. Qualche fioritura sparsa, soprattutto alle prime e ultime pagine. Firmetta di possesso alla pagina del primo titolo. Legatura coeva in mezza tela con titolo dorato al dorso; piatti con carta marmorizzata. “L’ordinamento è opera di G. Capponi che aggiunse ai 3000 proverbi raccolti dal Giusti, altri 2000 tratti da altre raccolte edite o manoscritte” (Patenti, Prime edizioni).
