Very good condition Charles Gayler's Our Female American Cousin, which opened in New York City in January 1859, was written in imitation of Tom Taylor's Our American Cousin. Julia Daly was a prominent American actress, singer, and dancer active from the 1850s through the 1870s. She was celebrated for her versatility in both comedic and dramatic roles and was also known as a songwriter. Her married name was Alwyn. Daly toured extensively across the United States and gained international acclaim for her performances. Her portrayal in Our Female American Cousin was among her notable roles during her illustrious career. Boston Academy of Music: Established in 1833, the Boston Academy of Music was initially dedicated to music education and performance. By the mid-19th century, it had expanded its repertoire to include theatrical productions, becoming a prominent cultural venue in Boston.
