Original blue cloth binding. Gilt titles to spine. Edges rubbed and soiled. Corners bumped. Dustwrapper now protected by a removeable clear plastic cover. Black & white image of ballet dancers and red titles. Edges very rubbed, with loss to corners and top of spine. Dedication to front endpaper: " For Edith Freeman from her admiring friend Adrian Stokes". loosely inserted letter on headed paper: "Hurtwood House, Albury, Guildford."; dated "Dec 29th 1954". Clean text and illustrations throughout. VG/G. * N.B.: "Edith" is thought to refer to 'Edith Freeman'. EDITH FREEMAN (1920-2010). Lived in Ballingdon Street, Sudbury, Suffolk.
