Sewn; textblock pulling at sewing, remaining secure. Notable chipping at spine. Verso-covers printed with alphabet in black. Each animal story accompanied by a large 3 / 4 page colour illustration. Pages with edgewear with some linen fraying, as is common with linen books of this period. Bottom corner bumped, with creasing. Each story with a child's checkmark in pencil. Else with only light dirtying, a couple small soiled spots. With all blemishes duly noted, this remains an acceptable copy of a linen book from an era when such books are usually found in quite poor condition.
