¶ A facsimile & transcription of the MS of Copernicus' De revolutionibus orbium coelestium with a long introduction. The MS remained in Copernicus' possession until his death & was then in several hands until the manuscript turned up in the library of Otto von Nostitz [ 1608 - 1665 ] where it remained for 300 years. In 1945 the Nostitz library was seized by the Czechoslovak government who in turned gave it to the Polish nation in 1956.
