The 'Early Reprint Text Society' edition. First printed in 1521 by Pynson. The society was dedicated to editing a publishing old English texts that were previously only available in manuscript and unavailable to the general public. In the publisher's original paper covers. A vanishingly scarce work. This historical work was written by Henry Bradshaw and provides an account of the Saint Werburge. Werburge was an Anglo-Saxon princess who became the patron saint of the city of Chester in Cheshire, and was an important part of the convent reform in England. In the publisher's original paper covers. Externally sound with sunning to the spine and extremities, marks, slight marks, closed tears to the spine and joints, loss to the rear and worming to the covers.
