Illustrated with the aforementioned colour photographs of rugs from Iran, Turkoman, China, Turkey, Caucasus, and with many line drawings showing detail of pattern variations, along with text in arranged in double column format. There are 2 maps and a couple of photographs. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured illustration to the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Colour illustrated (wraparound) dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A small book on oriental rugs. Softening to the backstrip edges and a little to the book corners. Darkening of the book edges with age toning of the text book edges and pages. A previous owner has made some blue ink coloured notations in the index section of the book; the text itself is unblemished. Chipping, with loss, to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Heavy rubbing on the fold over creases and either side of the backstrip; the fold over creases have some small holes. Some small tears to the dustwrapper edges.
