Charlie Mensuel, published monthly between 1969 and 1986, was one of the most important French comics magazines. The contents are a varying mix of new and old newspaper comics, often from the US, and auteur comics from France and other countries. This issue contains, a.o., Caesar Soda? by Joost Swarte (6 pp, colour). This is Swarte`s first publication in France. For some reason, Caesar is spelled Ceasar in the title. Also included: Schyzo Story by Duchaussoy (6 pp, colour); Peanuts, Andy Capp, Krazy Kat and Popeye; an episode from La Réserve (Pichard and Andrévon); and short comics by Cabu, Reiser and Hugot.
