EDWARD EAMES MILLARD. - Random Casts; or Odds and Ends From an Angler's Note Book, by E. M. E.

New York. Derby Brothers, Publishers, 27 Park Place. 1878. First Edition. 8vo. (6 ¾ x 5). 175 pp. Includes chapters on: Memory and Hope - The Angler's Sabbath - Early Rising - First Things - My First Trout - Jessups River - Creek Fishing - Down the River - Luck - Fly Fishing, etc. Henry Bruns (Angling Books of the Americas) describes the book as 'very rare' and its authorship at one time in question - it has since been conclusively shown that Millard was the author. The book is bound in its original tan wrappers with black titles on the front cover, the spine, and back cover. Mild edge wear to the covers, with the spine ends worn, very small repair to inside front cover, otherwise a very good book that very seldom appears in the marketplace and very, very seldom in reasonably good condition.
