(Amsterdam, C.P. Hafkamp, 1950-1956). Six issues. Nr. 1-7 (6/7 was a double issue). Original wrappers. COMPLETE. Nr. 2 upper 1 cm. discoloured, nr. 5 a bit foxed (as usual). Complete set of this international review. 'Kim' is Dutch for 'Horizon'. The first issue, with a reproduction of H.N. Werkman in front, contains answers to a survey by, among others, Max Brod, Thomas Mann, Henry Miller, A. Roland Holst, Tristan Tzara and S. Vestdijk. The famous fifth issue published 'Dutch poetry - Niederländische Lyrik' by, among others, Gerrit Achterberg, Remco Campert, Herman Gorter, Jan Hanlo, Hans Lodeizen, Lucebert and H. Marsman. There are two themed issues about "Negro Poetry" and "Indian Poetry". The double issue 6/7 has been dedicated to ‘film and novel' and contains contributions by Heinrich Böll, F. Bordewijk, Jean Cocteau, Federico Fellini, Thomas Mann, S. Vestdijk, Evelyn Waugh and Tennessee Williams. Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart illuminated the third number. Karel Appel and Corneille illustrated no. 5. Important modernist Dutch magazine, uniting literature the pictorial arts.
