An attempt to document the famed massecre of more than one hundred Britons during the 1756 siege of Fort William, Calcutta by the Nabob of Bengal, Siraj-ud Daulah, and 50,000 of his Muslim followers. Noel Barber (1909-1988) is the famed British journalist and correspondent of the Daily Mail whose own adventures worldwide were portrayed in the 1979 film, This Is Your Life. He also wrote six best-selling novels. Very Good.

It was defeated by the Company's officers and led to the ruin of the governor-general, Sir John Shore. The author was a professor at the University of Delaware at the time of writing. Fine.
