This is a lithographic poster on newsprint made by Art & Language for Documenta 5 in 1972 which wasincluded in the conceptual art section of Documenta in which Art & Language first exhibited 'Index 01'. It shows the code (which was worked out by Phjilip Pilkington) for this first index using the symbols '+' '-' and 'T'. On reverse includes introductory text by Charles Harrison giving early history of Art-Language group plus an extensive text about the Index. This fragile item is in extremely good condition, very litttle signs of wear, some very small creases but in museum condition.
