The album features 130 portraits of doctors. Auguste Corlieu (1825-1907) was a doctor, historian of medicine and librarian at the faculty of medicine of Paris.

Pionnier dans ce mode de traitement, qui fut largement adopté par la communauté médicale, Rollier fut nommé Docteur honoris causa de l'Université de Lausanne.
