Autograph. Signature of the British Army Officer Thomas Myddelton Biddulph Penned on a Slip of Paper.
Good. - The autograph of Thomas Myddelton Biddulph penned on a 7/8 inch high by 2-7/8 inch wide slip of paper clipped from a larger sheet. Signed "Sir Thomas Biddulph". A line of text below the signature has been clipped away. The slip of paper is mounted with glue from the verso onto slightly larger card stock. Good. The British army officer and courtier Thomas Myddelton Biddulph (1809-1878) purchased commissions in various regiments of the army. Appointed Master of the Household to Queen Victoria in 1851, he was made an Extra Equerry to the Queen in 1854. Made a Knight Commander of the Civil Division of the Order of the Bath, Biddulph was knighted in 1863. He was appointed to various positions, including Keeper of the Privy Purse, Receiver-General of the Duchy of Cornwall, Private Secretary to the Sovereign, among others. Good .
