This catalogue was created to give an insight into life in England in this period, through the publications catalogued.Major John Roland Abbey (1894-1969) was an English book collector, who wrote several books himself, including this one and Scenery of Great Britain and Ireland in Aquatint and Lithography, 1770-1860, from the Library of J. R. Abbey. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very bright and smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean, except for marks to the end papers, caused by remnants of tape to the flyleaves of the dust wrapper. Dust wrapper is generally smart with light soiling and chipping to the head and tail of the spine, with two tape repairs to the reverse of the wrap. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: Not Stated.
