Externally - one back cover corner bump o/w light rubbing corners and head of spine, chipped at heel of spine, a few stray cover spots that don't detract greatly. Internally - small top corner folds to last 3 pages, very light amount of foxing pretty much limited to endpapers + a handful of words underlined in pencil with what appears to be a Swedish translation pencilled in to the margin. Includes symposium comments from various contributors (National Temperance Society and Prohibition Party leaders), discussion of a platform, and a "Declaration of Independence against King Alcohol" with a space (blank) for signing. Also Republican Opposition to Prohibition, Present Parties Untrustworthy, etc. Frontis engraving of Dr. Benjamin Rush. Following Table of Contents: An Index of Persons Quoted or Named. Covers heavily rubbed, joints cracked, covers well attached, spine dried and chipped at the edges, sound text block with no loosened pages, old dampstain (but no damp odor) affecting the bottom third of the pages and plates throughout, pages otherwise clean with minimal foxing.
