The resulting photobooks including 'Peking Studies' (1934) and 'Peoples in China' (1935) give a rare impression of how people spent their lives in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris and the Middle East of her day. - New copy

In the original publisher's paper covered boards, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart. A few small puncture marks to the front board, one of which goes through to the whole board, with a few small bumps to the following pages. Small puncture mark to the spine and a little loss to the rear joint. Spine is a little faded and bumped. A few minor marks to the boards. Dustwrapper with some loss. A little discolouration and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just a few spots to the endpapers. Very Good . Ill.: Ellen Thorbecke; Schiff.
