Original blindstamped brown cloth; pale brown endpapers. Corners bumped, inscription (1914) on recto of frontispiece, a little faint foxing, otherwise very good. The sub-title appears on the first page of the text only. Sadlier was an Irish-born Catholic writer who settled in Montreal in Canada, and later lived for some years in New York. Her husband James was also her publisher.
