¶ One of 30 large paper copies on Arnold hand-made paper signed by Ridge. This copy bears an additional inscription: "Nov. 1st 1932. To Bob Ballou, the best book I ever published, Edward K. Warren." Robert O. Ballou before arriving in New York had been a literary critic on a Chicago newspaper. He was also an expert trypographer as well as a noted publisher (with the firm of Jonathan Cape and others). An interesting association
