London, Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co. Ltd. 1899. Cloth , 8vo - 7¾" - 9¾". Apparently the first edition as there are no additional printings or editions indicated. There are 50 black and white illustrations and 8 color fold out maps in the text. VG+. The back cover is lightly spotted and soiled, with the book being ever so slightly cocked. A private ex libris is present in the inside front cover, and there are two blue stamps, one on the ffep and one on the title page next to the title itself, maybe 2"x1/4". The hinges are solid, the binding is tight and I see no other internal markings. Very Good Plus/None as Issued.
