There is very light rubbing to the top of the spine section of the dustwrapper. John Currey has edited the letters of George Caley to Sir Joseph Banks. These letters ranged from descriptions of new specimens found and of explorations undertaken. Caley also reported on life in the struggling colony under Governor King, then Bligh to give the reader an understanding of ten eventful years that Caley witnessed, from when he arrived in 1800.
